COMPTE.R. was founded as a crafts enterprise back in 1886/87 at DORE L’EGLISE (Puy-de-Dôme - France) by the ancestors of today's directors.
Company history
"From craft beginnings to the birth of industry"
1890 Mr. Jean-Jacques Robert, great-grandfather of today's directors, creates the craft enterprise J. ROBERT-REROL: Mechanical construction workshops (mill wheels, agricultural machinery, etc.).
1940 The company's business develops and turns to sawdust extraction installations for the wood industry and the construction of wood-fuelled stoves and hot-air generators.
1965 The
crafts enterprise becomes the SARL, COMPTE et Cie. Wood-fuelled furnace
research and development intensifies.
"Building an identity"
1990 The
company specializes in wood-fuelled furnaces. The "extraction equipment" business
is gradually abandoned. It is renamed “COMPTE.R” in homage
to its founders, Jean-Jacques ROBERT and Robert COMPTE.
1993 The company looks to export; a joint venture is created in Belarus.
"Development"Since 2000, COMPTE R has been involved in sustainable development and alternative energies. The environment is a challenge and an obligation.
COMPTE R is working on:
- optimizing combustion systems,
- developing "smoke treatment" systems,
- and heat and electricity cogeneration.
