The new wood boiler and the heating district of Mâcon were inaugurated on Friday 13/04/2018.

The boiler room is equipped with two 8 MW biomass boilers COMPTE.R and supplies 9,500 housing equivalents in heat and hot water.

Biomass (waste wood from logging, sawmill) supplied within a radius of less than 100 kilometers  will reduce emissions by 26,000 tonnes of CO² per year, equivalent to nearly 9,500 vehicles circulating in the city of Mâcon over a period of one year.

The heating network of the city of Mâcon benefited from the financing of ADEME for 4,360 million euros.
