The Beauregard district of Montbrison is at the heart of a Loire Habitat programme of renovation and refurbishment, with objectives relating to energy performance.

The project is part of the work to change the heating system.  As part of an environmental approach, the existing boiler room with four gas and oil-fired boilers will be converted into a biomass boiler room.

It will retain the two back-up gas boilers and its eastern part will be equipped with two 300 kW COMPTE.R biomass boilers.

It is planned to create an underground biomass storage silo which will feed these boilers via a conveyor.

An ash container placed on a platform created next to the silo will take the waste from the process.
