According to the project initiated by Bar le Duc Energie Environnement, the Côte Sainte Catherine gas boiler room, which provides collective heating for most of the social housing and neighbourhood facilities, will be converted to biomass energy.

As a renewable energy with a very favourable impact on the CO2 balance, the virtuous objective from the point of view of the environmental benefits of biomass are associated with two other benefits:
– The cost of heating, which will be reduced for consumers
– The use of renewable energy on a nearby deposit that will favour a local economy and the often neglected logging industry.

2 COMPTE.R boilers of 1.5 and 2 MW will equip the boiler room of the municipal heating network.
