With its biomass boiler project, which replaces gas and uses local agricultural by-products, the Danone group wants to reduce the environmental impact of its activities.

As part of the works and operation contract between ENGIE and DANONE, a 7 MW biomass boiler will be installed to meet the site’s steam needs. The COMPTE.R steam boiler will be fuelled by flax shives, a local biomass resource available less than 80km from the site.

This project will avoid 11,000 tonnes of fossil CO2 emissions per year.
