Dalkia, the operator of the heating network and boiler room of the Laon ZUP in Reims, has awarded COMPTE.R the contract to supply a 3.7 MW biomass boiler.

The work is in line with the ambition of the ASL (Association Syndicale Libre of the Laon Neufchâtel district) to promote the development of renewable energy in order to provide a maximum number of users with competitive and sustainable heating costs.

The replacement of two existing gas boilers by a wood boiler will bring the city’s renewable energy rate to 80% while guaranteeing security of supply.

The new boiler is scheduled to be commissioned in December 2023.

This operation is part of a global strategy supported by the Greater Reims urban community and will help prepare the region for the challenges of decarbonisation.
