In December 2021, Issoire will begin work on the Energ’Iss heating network. 9 km of pipes will run from Constellium to connect the 2,500 housing equivalents, through the streets of Issoire.

The network will serve the 42 substations, including the 28th signal regiment, the hospital, the aquatic centre, the town hall, social housing, high school, etc.

The project is based on a tripartite agreement on energy supply signed between Constellium (a company specialising in aluminium), Dalkia (which has been awarded the public service contract to build and operate the facilities) and the town of Issoire.

By using 50% of the heat available from Constellium’s furnaces, 40% of biomass (wood chips from Saint-Flour), and 10% of gas, to ensure security of supply, the Energ’Iss network will be one of the most virtuous in France, with 90% of renewable energy.

COMPTE.R is proud to participate in this innovative project by supplying a 2700 kW boiler that will equip the network’s biomass heating plant. Equipped with a Toploader, the automatic fuel silage and desilting system, a bag filter and a super economiser, the installation will guarantee dust emissions of 15 mg/Nm3 at 6% O2, NOx emissions of 300 mg/Nm3 at 6% O2 and will ensure an efficiency of 93.5%.
