In line with its energy transition policy – including the development of renewable energies, Grenoble Alpes Métropole, in partnership with the municipality of Gières, is carrying out the project for the construction of a boiler room and a wood energy heating network with additional gas.

It is COMPTE.R which will supply the biomass boiler of 500 kW which will supply in wood energy heat for the buildings (existing and to be built) of the center town of Gières: communal buildings, collective housing, medical house, school.

This is the Best Available Technology (BAT) that ensures a level of emissions that is both stable and below current regulations.
