Following the evolution of the regulations, from 1 January 2018, boilers with a thermal output of between 2 and 20 MW / h – all boilers together – will have to comply with an LEV * of dust <50mg / Nm3 at 6% of O2, regardless of the year of construction (subject to a more restrictive APP **).

Case studies:

Case 1:
– 1 oil-fired boiler of 250 kW / h
– 4 gas boilers of 300 kW / h
– 1 biomass boiler of 600 kW / h

Total power = 2.05 MW / h – Installation covered by the new regulations

Case 2:
– 3 biomass boilers of 400 kW / h
– 1 gas boiler of 400 kW / h

Total power = 1600 kW / h – Installation not covered by the new regulations
