The Wormhout heating network, which supplies the aquatic centre, the Jean-Moulin school group and the town’s retirement home, is already in service.

The 700 kW COMPTE.R boiler, which came on line at the beginning of the year, will consume an average of 780 tonnes of flax shives, which represents about 2% of the annual production of the 6 local dyers.

The COMPTE.R bag filter, made up of filtering media, ensures a level of emissions that is both stable and below the regulations in force (≤ 15 mg/Nm3 at 6% O2).

The ash, which will be used as fertiliser or soil improver for local farmers, is evacuated in an 8 m3 container.
