In 1995, the town of Hauteville-Lompnes and Rhônalpénergie-Environnement launched a project to build a wood-fired boiler room to ensure the sustainable development of the town and its heating network.

The installation of the 3.4 MW COMPTE.R biomass boiler in 2002 made it possible to make the most of an abundant local forestry resource, to guarantee energy at the best price, to energise the local players and to guarantee atmospheric emissions with fewer pollutants.

After 20 years of operation, the old boiler will be replaced in 2023 by the new 4.5 MW COMPTE.R range with an economiser and a bag filter guaranteeing dust emissions below 15mg/Nm3.
The network will also be extended and will allow the overall operation to be sustained until 2045.

COMPTE.R is proud to work on this project with the company ENERTION, which is responsible for the overall management of this project.
