For the project to design a heating network on the territory of the town of Formerie, the community of municipalities Picardie Verte has opted for a local Picardy resource, flax.

The 700 kW COMPTE.R boiler fuelled by flax shives will produce heat and domestic hot water for the swimming pool, the CMPV offices, part of the technical services and the town’s secondary school.

The future boiler room, which will be operated by the CRAM, will reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, provide additional income for the local agricultural cooperative and promote the region’s energy independence.
