The zoo will expand its area by seven hectares.

This new area will be used to create a new enclosure for ten chimpanzees, with a house adapted to their needs. Part of this area will also be used to create an African herbivore zone, which will be able to accommodate new species such as giraffes and antelopes, which will use the entire meadow of almost two hectares.

To heat these new buildings, COMPTE.R will install two biomass boilers with a total capacity of 500 kW in October.

The zoo is already equipped with two COMPTE.R boilers, which were commissioned in 2003 and 2015.
