As energy transition is one of its priorities in terms of sustainable development, Aix-Marseille University has set itself the objective of reducing its energy consumption by 60% by 2050 and increasing the use of renewable energies by more than 30% over the next ten years.

As part of this strategy, AMU awarded the Crudeli – Engie – Adret consortium the contract to renovate and increase the density of the heating network on the Luminy site, create a biomass heating plant and operate and maintain the facilities.

COMPTE.R was awarded the contract for the supply and commissioning of a 2.2 MW biomass boiler, equipped with its COMPTE.R bag filter and an economiser which, thanks to the recovery of the energy contained in the smoke at the filter outlet, increases the boiler’s efficiency to 94%.
