COMPTE.R will supply and install two 1.8 MW and 4.2 MW biomass boilers that will equip the Briançon district heating network of 6 km, serving at least 27 buildings.

This urban heating project, which will be the largest in the PACA region, will contribute to Briançon’s energy independence, make it an exemplary city in terms of sustainable development and create local jobs.

The boiler will be 100% supplied with local wood delivered in wood chips, resulting from the grinding of slash from logging or sawmills.

With this district heating network, Briançon will join some 350 cities that have such equipment, supplying more than 2 million French people with heat.
Less hazardous and healthier than fossil-fueled boilers, district heating networks provide substantial savings while promoting local development of the green economy.
By using local renewable energy such as wood, Briançon will strengthen its energetic independence and participate in the fight against global warming.
