Aside from the production of brandy, the Marcillac site of the Blayais Wine Distilleries also transforms the raw material on the principle of the circular economy.

From the alcoholic juices semi-finished biofuels are produced, the pulp of the dealcoholized and dried grapes is used as fertilizer for the fields and the seeds are transformed into oil.

The meal (the rest of the seed once squeezed) and the grape marc are used as fuel for the biomass boiler.

It is this boiler that will produce 10 t / h of saturated steam will be provided by COMPTE.R in February 2019.

Ashes from combustion are also valued by returning to the fields as fertilizer.
