The creation of a new wood heating network that could heat 17 public buildings on Saint-Flour is currently underway.
It is the fourth one on the Besserette sector (after those of Crozatier, the Aquacenter and Volzac).
The new boiler room will present real environmental interests (1,700 tonnes of CO2 avoided per year) and economic benefits (150,000 euros saved by all users), and will create jobs in the local wood industry (three in the context of this project).
With a total cost of 4.575 million euros this sustainable development project will be funded by 2.3 million euros by ADEME, and 300,000 euros by the state.
As for the other three biomass boilers, it is again COMPTE.R that will provide two woof chips boilers of 700 and 1500 kW.
